5.13 Express
5.13 express is an abstract animation linked to sound that references a rush hour train journey. Its linear progression through 3D forms hints at the unlimited geography or space contained beyond the screen. It is hoped that by referencing the idea of a train journey, the historical significance of how technology has conquered distance can be called into consideration. There is also an ironic quality to the animation in that the rush hour train journey is where we find ourselves in such close physical proximity to our fellow man but seek to escape into portable worlds, be it the mobile phone, iPod or PSP.
